Why these people are still in "Stone Age"?

Yesterday got an advice from my uncle. He told my mom like this "Her blog is too bad, y she posts there? And the e-book,http://shakthimaan.com/downloads/glv/presentations/di-git-ally-managing-love-letters.pdf is really rubbish. There are stuffs like 'aishwarya rai', etc. wht is she goin to do knowing about all those people? is this the stupid way she is doin her project? what is she thinking of herself? She has given 'age', 'location', 'interests', 'photo', etc in the profile. Does she not know that this is wrong? And she has uploaded some pics of SFD in picasa, what is all this? as a mom are u not watching her?". After this, my mom came and started shouting at me..
I explained that"http://shakthimaan.com/downloads/glv/presentations/di-git-ally-managing-love-letters.pdf is purely for educational purpose, did he not see the commands it contains, (i also want to mention one more thing here - he is a s/w engineer), i'm 20 years old, still i dont hav any freedom to do anything on my own, you people are dominatin me". She didnt accept anything..
I really dont know what is wrong in posting in blogs... can anyone do anything with my age, location?
And whats the mistake in the e-book "presentations/di-git-ally-managing-love-letters.pdf"? i've made one thing- i've removed the photo..
Friends pls comment on this post so that my uncle when visits this blog can see the comments..

    I partialy support the thought of your uncle. On the other hand, web is one of the most vulnerable place, so its good for eveybody not to reveal ones real Identity....

    On the other hand, Aishwarya, is an intelligent girl, she knows, what she is doing. Need not worry about her too much.

    அவுங்க சின்ன வயசுல நல்ல 'ஊர்' சுத்தி 'என்ஜாய்' பன்னிருபாங்க... பட், நாம ஸ்பென்சர், சிட்டி சென்டர்-நு போன நம்ம திட்டுவாங்க..

    அது சரி... "வயசானா புத்தி மலிங்கீருமாம்" ... இது நான் சொல்ல பா... பெரயுவங்க சொன்னது...

    "இன்டர்நெட்"-அ பத்தி நமக்குதான் அவுங்களைவிட நல்ல தெரியும்... முழுசா தெரயுமுனு சொல்லல... நல்ல தெரியும்... என்ன என்ன "Fraud" பண்ணலாம், யார, எப்படி கவுக்கலாம்-நு தெரியும்...

    பட், இந்த பெருசுங்க நமல சும்மா விடுறது இல்ல... எங்க வீட்ல யாரும் ஒன்னும் சொல்ல மாட்டாங்க...

    Aish... Stay Careful.. Hope I need not warn yo.. yo know much about internet and ... :) stay SAFE...

    1. The presentation is for newbies wanting to learn to use git as a source control management tool.

    2. The presentation is not for A. Rai. It has been done in a creative, sarcastic manner.

    3. If people can't understand humour, what can we do? :)

    A better alternative is to split yourself so your freedom of speech shouldn't come in the way of your personal life, and enjoy context switching. OR Fight for your rights OR Move to a land where internet is free like polluted air everyone is allowed to mix what they want...:)

    I think aishumoorthy is one of those rare people (since FOSS girls are rare).

    So keep it rolling.


    Btw, Shakthi's presentation rocks. Its a very nice way to explain version control systems; unconventional but it keeps you interested, not drop to sleep.

    My first reaction to you post was lots of bad thoughts about your uncle, your mom and the mind set driving their arguments.

    I think that you should make an effort to share your points of view, explain to them what you are doing and why you think it is important.

    You will face a lot of resistance, but eventually , i'm sure you will be able to appreciate each others views. I wish you luck in your crusades to save the world.
